Umbrella Festival Rocked... But For Us It Was SO SOULFUL!

It was our privilege to perform to such an eager and welcoming crowd at the Umbrella Festival, one of the highlights of our summer festival tour.

The event took place on the weekend ending 16th August 2015, as we rolled up on the Sunday evening to perform the closing set at The Global Mela Multicultural Stage, held within a large marquee.

The stage set was so colourful, I felt like I was transported back to some Psychedelic festival from the late sixties or early seventies.  There were some really great acts before our show and the MC was so brightly dressed in traditional dress, you just could not miss the guy, but he was also awesome as an MC.

Our set list for The Umbrella Festival was:

Street Life - Randy Crawford, That's The Way - KC & The Sunshine Band, Ain't No Stopping Us Now - Mc Fadden & Whitehead, Fantasy - Earth Wind & Fire, September - Earth Wind & Fire, Lovely Day - Bill Withers, Superstition - Stevie Wonder, Ain't Nobody - Chaka Khan, Love Ballard - George Benson, Give Me The Night - George Benson, Easy - Lionel Richie (Reggie style) & Boogie Nights - Heatwave.

At the Umbrella Festival the weather was kind with nice sunshine, a great atmosphere, some really great bands, live performance artists from soloists, acoustic artists, spoken word performances by poets, writers and singer songwriters, dance and percussion.  The whole festival had a great atmosphere and karma about it.

So thank you to all who attended, the crowd at our stage ware awesome and the team behind the sound desk, the MC and all at Umbrella staff were just real friendly.

A great gig all round.
